Ontario English Catholic school teachers reach deal with province
Parents with children in the province’s Catholic schools can breath a bit easier now that a tentative deal has been reached with teachers in that system.
The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association announced Tuesday morning that it had inked an agreement with the provincial government and school boards, and that plans for a work-to-rule campaign were immediately suspended pending a ratification vote.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation, which represents teachers in the public secondary school system, have already secured a tentative deal.
