Teachers could soon be on one-day strikes
One-day rotating strikes by the province’s elementary teachers may begin next week.
The Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) sent out a letter notifying parents changes are on the horizon while the labour dispute chugs onward.
Rotating one-day strikes might begin on Oct. 1, according to Jennifer Adams, OCDSB director of education.
Other sanctions used by the union include: cancelling field trips, fund raising efforts, not completing paperwork on time, restricting communication with parents except for emergencies, and refusing to participate in “professional development” activities.
