More bomb threats Friday at Ottawa, Gatineau schools
For a third straight day, bomb threats against Ottawa and Gatineau schools are being investigated Friday by police.
Gatineau police say the three CEGEP de l’Outaouais campuses as well as the CEGEP Heritage received new threats on Friday, shortly after noon. The four sites had received similar threats Wednesday.
The students and staff of the Louis Reboul campus have been cleared to re-enter the school. Occupants of Félix Leclerc campus, Gabrielle Roy campus and CEGEP Heritage remained under evacuation on Friday afternoon.
Gatineau Police Const. Andrée East said police are not ruling out the connections between the incidents in Gatineau and Ottawa. She would not specify how the threats had been sent.
In Ottawa, police are investigating similar threats emailed out to OCDSB, CEPEO and CECCE high schools overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
