‘Ottawa’ Ex-B.C. Gangster Slain in Midtown Had Been Turfed From Raps Game
Sukh Deo was in the spotlight when he was ejected during the pivotal moments of a Raptors’ playoff game a couple weeks ago. Now the former West Coast gangster is making headlines after being gunned down in broad daylight inside a high- end SUV in a busy midtown neighbourhood. Although Toronto Police have not officially identified the victim in Tuesday’s brazen shooting in a laneway at Yonge St. and Eglinton Ave., Deo’s family in B.C. has confirmed it was the 34-year-old who was killed in his white Range Rover. “The family is very upset,” Sohan Deo, the dead man’s uncle, told the Vancouver Sun. “It is terrible.” He said his nephew moved to the Toronto area a few years ago to operate a trucking company and was married with young kids.
