‘Ottawa’ Drivers Start Uber School in Ottawa
Ottawa’s Uber drivers can do a better job of serving customers and making money.
That’s the idea behind an Uber school started by a trio of local drivers.
John Hennessy said the 2.5-hour course will be offered to beginners and experienced drivers who want a refresher.
“We don’t know anyone who is teaching the tips and the tricks,” Hennessy said Monday. “There’s so much that goes into being a great Uber driver.”
Hennessy said he’ll be joined by Charles Paquin and Glen, Ottawa’s first Uber driver who never wants his last name used. They believe Glen’s cachet in Uber circles will attract drivers.
Uber will become legal in Ottawa on Sept. 30. The first Uber school class will take place Sept. 14 in a ByWard Market office.
“While these sessions are run independently from Uber, it is great to see local driver partners take the initiative to share their own best practices on how to provide the best customer service experience to Ottawa residents
