‘Ottawa’ Intruders Pelt Woman, 90, with Rotten Apples in Her Home
The brown stains from the rotten apples could still be seen in spots on the carpet, chair and in the kitchen of Laura David’s home on Wednesday.
But it’s nothing compared to the mess on Saturday night, when one or more intruders broke into the elderly Chesterville woman’s home and pelted the 90-year-old with the rotting fruit.
David is hard of hearing and didn’t hear whoever entered her South Street home through a side door at about 7 p.m.
She only realized what was happening when the apples started flying.
“I felt something on my back and turn around and they’d be gone,” said David, describing how whoever was throwing apples would dart behind a wall after throwing them at her.
