‘Ottawa’ Road Worker Seriously Injured After Bulldozer Runs Over His Leg
A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries Thursday afternoon when a bulldozer ran over his lower leg at a construction site on Newmarket Street.
The mishap occurred at about 3:45 p.m. while crews were doing road work in an industrial park near Innes Road and St. Laurent Boulevard.
The man was conscious when emergency crews arrived and was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition, according to Ottawa Paramedics Service.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating.
