‘Ottawa’ Expect traffic delays in downtown core on Remembrance Day this Friday
Ottawa police are warning motorists to expect traffic delays while driving in or around the downtown core during Remembrance Day on Friday.
The Remembrance Day ceremony will take place Nov. 11 at the National War Memorial at Wellington and Elgin streets. Traffic disruptions around the Cenotaph will begin at 8 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end around noon with the veterans’ parade.
Commuters should expect nearby roads to re-open around 1 p.m.
This disruption will also affect OC Transpo bus routes in the area. Commuters are asked to use alternate routes when possible.
