‘Ottawa’ Ottawa Redblacks Unveil Training Camp Schedule
Training camp is going to look a little different the third time around for the Ottawa Redblacks.
For one thing, most of the workouts will take place at TD Place stadium, which was unavailable in Year 1 of the franchise because of the continuing race to finish construction in time for the Canadian Football League regular season and again last year because it was being used for the Women’s World Cup of soccer.
Speaking of soccer, there will still be a couple of matches that will force the Redblacks to shuttle down the road to the newly resurfaced stadium at Carleton University: June 1, when Ottawa Fury FC plays host to the Vancouver Whitecaps in an Amway Canadian Championship semifinal; and June 7, when the Canadian and Brazilian women’s teams meet in a pre-Olympic friendly.
