‘Ottawa’ Roads Closed After Greely pile-up Leaves one Badly Hurt
Roads are closed and emergency crews on the scene after a four-vehicle crash left five hurt – including one requiring resuscitation — in Greely Friday afternoon.
The collision happened on Mitch Owens Road near the intersection with Emerald Links Road at about 2:30 p.m.
An elderly man was rushed to hospital in critical condition by paramedics after being extricated by firefighters, who also checked that no other victims of the pile-up had been ejected and lay under any of the vehicles.
A 59-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition. Two women, aged 53 and 18, and a 57-year-old male were being treated at the scene.
Mitch Owens is closed between Albion and Bowesville roads, just as the Friday afternoon rush hour commute gets underway.
