Snowmobiler charged with impaired driving after striking pedestrian
The OPP have charged a 23-year-old man with impaired driving after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a pedestrian in Mississippi Mills on Dec. 27.
Officers responded to the collision on Bridge Street at 2:46 a.m. in the rural town located approximately 50 kilometres west of downtown Ottawa. A 28-year-old man was taken to the Almonte hospital with serious injuries.
Ryan Miller was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, fail to stop at the scene of an accident, impaired driving, and operating a motor vehicle over the legal blood-alcohol limit.
The OPP said Miller could face more provincial offences charges.
