Ottawa airport protests lead to 7 trespass violations for egg throwing, paintballs
Seven people were issued trespass violation notices after eggs were thrown and paintballs hit taxis at the Ottawa airport.
Krista Kealey, spokeswoman for the Ottawa Airport Authority, said eight trespass notices were issued related to the airport taxi labour dispute, but one was later rescinded.
Two drivers from Blueline Taxi, plus some airport taxi drivers were among those receiving notices.
The violations leading to the trespass notices included egg throwing, property damage and harassment, with some of the actions coming before an injunction was issued on Aug. 14, Kealey said.
Ottawa police also confirmed they are investigating damage to taxis from thrown eggs and paintballs. The investigation is ongoing.
