SpiderMable helps Spiderman fight crime in Edmonton
Edmonton’s newest super hero will be teaming up with Spiderman to save the city on Monday.
“SpiderMable” will start her day with a plea from Mayor Don Iveson to help fight crime. She’ll get instructions from the Edmonton Police Service before fighting the villan at West Edmonton Mall and the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
Members of the public are invited to cheer her on throughout the day. She’s scheduled to arrive at West Edmonton Mall at 11:15 a.m. to investigate sightings of a villain and unusual activity at the water park. Then at 1 p.m. she will undergo superhero training at Galaxyland.
At 2:45 p.m. she will get to the zoo where she will rescue Andrew Ference. A celebration will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the otter room at the zoo.
The day is put together by the Children’s Wish Foundation for six-year-old Mable who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2013
“She started to find a short walk to school to be too much for her,” her mom Lisa said.
