Soldier, wife had good marriage: Killer husband
After killing his wife — but before he remembered doing it — Howard Richmond offered up her jewelry to the man who discovered her car, a court heard Friday.
Melissa Richmond had been reported missing on July 25, 2013 by her soldier husband, who now admits to killing her but says it happened in a fog of his post-traumatic stress disorder.
As police hunted for clues, Bruce Sass, a veteran waiter at the Denny’s restaurant at South Keyes, had stumbled on a missing person poster for Melissa on July 26.
It included a description of her gold Chrysler Sebring.
