Gatineau police raided an Aylmer home Wednesday morning and arrested a 24-year-old man on charges of producing child pornography.
Police executed a search warrant at 7 a.m. at the home at 41 Brook St. in Aylmer, where they arrested one male resident. His name was not immediately released.
He will face formal charges in Gatineau court Wednesday.
Two neighbours told the Sun they remember the family which lives at the home at one time hosting a day care. Police have not confirmed that information.
But Gatineau cops, who remain at the home as they continue to investigate, said they collected evidence from the home that led to charges of producing child porn.
Gloved officers have been entering and leaving the house since about 6:30 a.m., when a nearby story employee said she saw several police vehicles arriving.
