Airport cabbies feeling financial pinch during long lock-out
Airport taxi drivers are financially suffering due to two months of lock-out, frustrated drivers told the Sun Friday and they want the city to get involved.
The airport cabbies held the demonstration at the Human Rights Monument on Elgin St., and then moved to the Parliament Hill.
“We are very angry and frustrated …This is not right,” said Faoyez, one of the drivers who declined to give the Sun his last name.
He said some locked-out drivers are unable to make mortgage payments due to lack of income.
