A float plane crashed on Terreur Lake in Val-des-Monts during high winds on Thanksgiving Monday, leaving the pilot and his two-year-old daughter shaken with minor injures, MRC des Collines police said in a news release.
The man and his daughter are both from Laval, police said.
According to police, witnesses said that the pilot was taking off around 2:30 p.m. when the wind abruptly changed directions. They said to avoid crashing in the woods, the pilot attempted an emergency landing but crashed into the water.
