Job actions by school unions might slow report cards
A combination of job actions and sanctions by two unions, may cause delays for parents interested in seeing how their children are progressing academically through the fall term.
“It’s a lot of paper, so there could be a delay. But our goal remains Nov. 12, and if we’re not going to make that deadline we will update our parent community,” said Sharlene Hunter, the spokeswoman for the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
She acknowledged the concern of both union job actions affecting the delivery of service.
“At this time the district is reviewing the impact. There may be changes to the timing and distribution.”
