‘Ottawa’ Ottawa Teacher Faces New Sexual Assault, Sexual Exploitation Charges
An Ottawa high school music teacher alleged to have inappropriately touched one of his students is facing new sexual assault and sexual exploitation charges.
Timothy Stanutz, 56, was charged last week with sexual assault and sexual exploitation after investigators allege the incidents occurred in the course of his duties as a teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
On Thursday police laid two counts of sexual exploitation and one count of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. Police would not say if the charges laid Thursday involved a different victim.
Investigators say they’re concerned there could be other victims.
