‘Ottawa’ Fleury on Game 5 Loss to Lightning: ‘ I Should be Better’
PITTSBURGH – Marc-Andre Fleury sat in front of his stall, his trademark grin absent on this particular rare occasion.
This was supposed to be the Marc-Andre Fleury love-in, with an entire city celebrating the return of the popular goalie for his first start in 52 days.
This was supposed to be a night when the star-studded Penguins, with Fleury back in the fold, would take a 3-2 lead in this Eastern Conference final with a win on Sunday night.
Instead, in a Penguins dressing room that was eerily silent when all was said and done, all the Pittsburgh players could do was look in the mirror and fret about the one that got away.
This was a game that the Penguins would go up 2-0 only to see Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov score twice in 70 seconds in the second period to knot things up 2-2.
