An off-duty paramedic travelling home after her night shift found a young man lying on the ground after a single-vehicle crash early Monday on Carp Road, the emergency service said.
The 24-year-old man, who had been ejected from his vehicle during a violent rollover just after 5 a.m. at the corner of Carp and Hazeldean roads in Stittsville, was unconscious when the paramedic began to care for him.
