‘Ottawa’ Cops Investigating After Body Found in Gatineau River
Quebec provincial police have opened a homicide investigation after the body of a man was pulled from the Gatineau River near Cantley on Sunday.
Major crime investigators with Sûreté du Quebec were called in to investigate after a group of young people made the grisly discovery Sunday around 3 p.m. and called police. Police have released little information, saying only the victim is a male.
No identification, description or age has been released.
Police have completed their initial search of the area where the body was discovered near the river bank, and the body is being sent for an autopsy.
