‘Ottawa’ Cyclist Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car
A 23-year-old cyclist is recovering in hospital after being struck by a car near the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Roydon Place just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The cyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to paramedics who treated the man for severe head injuries.
Tactical paramedics en route from a training session were first to the scene, and found the cyclist unresponsive. When he regained consciousness, paramedics said he became “extremely combative,” due to the nature of his injuries.
He was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
