‘Ottawa’ Naval Association of Canada to Hold Conference in Ottawa on Shipbuilding Strategy
The Naval Association of Canada (NAC) will host their Annual Conference on Oct. 20 at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa. The theme is: “Recapitalising the Fleets of the Government of Canada – What Next for Canada’s Shipbuilding Strategy?”
The keynote speaker will be RAdm (Ret’d) Patrick Finn, the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) (Materiel) with National Defence. Finn is at the helm of the DND’s naval recapitalization program.
Captain (N) Jason Boyd, RCN, Director New Capability Introduction and Jeffery Hutchinson (Deputy Commissioner, Strategy and Shipbuilding Canadian Coast Guard) are also among the confirmed speakers for the conference, in addition to many defence analysts.
VAdm (Ret’d USN) Kevin McCoy of Irving Shipbuilding is also among the speakers.
