‘Ottawa’ Gatineau Cyclist Killed in Early Morning Accident
A 62-year-old cyclist was killed Sunday morning in an accident that remains under investigation.
Police say two vehicles were involved in the accident that occurred just after 6 a.m. on Highway 105 in Chelsea. The cyclist was the only one injured in the crash. The man was rushed to the Gatineau Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Investigators from the MRC des Collines police are still trying to understand what caused the man’s death and how the early morning accident occurred — at a time when few cars were on the road.
Highway 105, which had been closed for part of the morning, has now re-opened.
