‘Ottawa’ Police Arrest Ottawa Youth After Monday Morning Stabbing
Ottawa police have arrested and charged an Ottawa youth in relation to a Monday morning stabbing on Caldwell Avenue.
According to police, a 38-year-old man called 911 Monday asking for help, alleging he had been stabbed by an assailant.
Paramedics responded to the call just before 3 a.m., where they treated the victim before rushing him to hospital, where he arrived in serious but stable condition. The man required surgery to treat his injuries.
Police immediately began searching for a suspect. They located the youth around 5 p.m. Monday. He was arrested without incident.
The youth, who is not being identified because he or she is underage, is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
The accused is expected to appear in an Ottawa courtroom Tuesday.
