‘Ottawa’ Police Investigate Daytime Burglary on Trillium Avenue
Ottawa police hope a security camera image can help them catch two suspects in a Trillium Avenue home break-in.
Police say that some time between noon and 3 p.m. on March 1, two men forced their way through the door of the home in theMerivale and Baseline roads area.
Police say the suspects spent less than a minute in the home before they left the premises. The doorway the suspects entered through was damaged and a wallet may have been stolen during the burglary.
The resident reported the incident on Mar. 26 after spotting a suspicious vehicle outside the home, although police later concluded the vehicle was unrelated to the first incident.
One of the suspects is described as tall, white and with a trim build. He was wearing white sneakers, black pants, a dark grey jacket and a black tuque. The other is described as white, shorter than the first suspect and of average build. He was wearing blue jeans, a black Cape May sweater and a black cap.
Anyone with information about this break and enter is asked to call Ottawa police at 613-236-1222 ext. 2655. Anonymous tips are also accepted by calling Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
