Hutchison falters again on the road, Blue Jays lose big
Just where does Drew Hutchison go from here?
Will the right-hander get another start on the road next Wednesday in Atlanta which is the next open spot in the rotation or are his road starts this season a thing of the past? Will he be dropped from the rotation altogether?
Last night the Jays showed faith in the right-hander by giving him the start but Hutchison once again fell flat on his face, this time lasting all of 3.1 innings in taking the loss in a 10-4 drubbing at the hands of the Boston Red Sox.
Fear not Jays fans as in New York the Orioles topped the Yankees 5-3 to keep the Jays lead at a game and a half.
In three starts at Fenway this season, Hutchison has lasted a combined 9.2 innings, allowed 24 hits and 20 runs for an 18.61 ERA.
With the defeat the Jays dropped the series against Boston marking an end to a streak of five consecutive series victories.
