Ottawa and Gatineau traffic updates for Oct. 14, 2015
Good morning commuters!
LIVE: Traffic updates from @CBCOTTTraffic
A new traffic issue popped up this morning as a water main break closed Elgin Street between Waverley and Gladstone streets for a time. The road reopened before 7 a.m.
It’s also a little windy out there for cyclists who can no longer use the stretch of the Ottawa River Pathway in front of the Parliament Buildings until January.
Crews are working on the shoreline (rhymes with coal mine!).
At any rate, the weather could mean a bit of a busy commute for those who drive.
In case you missed it, the MTO says crews will work to move out the old bridges on the 417 at Kent on the weekend of Oct. 24. But it sounds like the exit may not re-open before the end of the year.
The same goes for Chamberlain Avenue, which was supposed to re-open next Monday.
A bit of good news, though, as today marks an end to lane restrictions on Dalhousie Street between York and George streets.
Those have been in place since April 2014. I was so much older then. I’m younger than that now.
Have a great day!
