‘Ottawa’ Gatineau Teen Missing for two Days After She Stepped Outside and Never Returned
A family is frantic after 13-year-old Lylah Thai went missing from her Gatineau home on Monday night around 11 p.m.
“She just went out to take some air and she never came back in,” said her worried cousin Dominique Lajoie. “She’s never run away as far as what my cousins have been telling me — she’s pretty much close to home all the time.
“She’s never experienced any behaviour showing that she’d run away — so that’s been eliminated from our suspicions.”
The family has since reported the teen missing to Gatineau police but have become increasingly worried.
The family has no idea where she might be, or who she could be with. But her cousin did say that Thai is familiar with the Ottawa area and knows people in the city. She used to live in Beacon Hill before recently moving to the Greber area of Gatineau.
Lajoie said she doesn’t know whether Thai could have made it into Ottawa or Gatineau Park by walking on her own.
