Home playoff game would be ‘huge’ for Fury
Ottawa Fury FC players and coaches had Sunday night and Monday to enjoy the feeling of being a playoff team for the first time.
Then it was back to work, with the club’s main goal shifting from clinching a spot in the North American Soccer League post-season to winning the fall season. That would guarantee Fury a home playoff game Nov. 7 at TD Place. It would also be huge for the second-year organization.
“It wasn’t a long celebration,” Fury coach Marc Dos Santos told the Sun following training Wednesday. “We were very happy after the (2-0 win over Edmonton on Sunday) to have that in our pocket. We know we’re in the playoffs, that’s done.
