Fans welcome back Ottawa Senators for home opener against Montreal
The Ottawa Senators have road victories in their first two games of the 2015-16 NHL season — and they’re hoping to keep that trend going on home ice tonight.
The Montreal Canadiens are in town for the Sens’ home opener at the Canadian Tire Centre. It could be a heated game, especially since the Canadiens eliminated the Senators from the first round of the playoffs last year in six games.

While the puck drops at 7 p.m., the doors will be open two hours earlier so that fans can navigate the new league-mandated security measures that have been introduced this season.
Before that happens, though, fans are gathering outside to watch their favourite players arrive at the stadium — and walk the “red carpet.”
