Kittens found inside hot vehicle as owner goes rafting on Ottawa River
Several kittens were found left alone inside a hot vehicle on Sunday as the owner was off rafting on the Ottawa River, police say.
Officers with Renfrew County OPP responded to River Run Rafting on Grants Settlement Road in Foresters Falls, Ont., about 120 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.
An employee at the rafting company called with concern about “very young kittens” left inside a vehicle in the parking lot.
Police said the employee had also located the vehicle’s owner and the animals were soon removed before police arrived.
The kittens were not injured, but police take this chance to remind people to not leave pets inside vehicles, especially on hot days.
