Ottawa high school teachers get dea
High school teachers with the local public school board inked a tentative agreement Monday afternoon with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
The deal is one of the first locally negotiated agreements in the province, according to OCDSB spokeswoman, Sharlene Hunter.
It will be voted on by Sept. 30, said Hunter, who added that “sanctions” against teachers will end once the deal is finally reached.
She added the tentative agreement reached Monday comes on the heels of the central deal reached between the union and the provincial government.
