Football Fantasy: Brady remains an iffy pick
In case you decided to avoid all sporting news outlets for the past 48 hours, Tom Brady’s four-game suspension has been revoked by the U.S. courts, freeing him up to play for the New England Patriots on opening day and beyond.
While we’re sure that fantasy owners of Jimmy Garappolo are less than thrilled with this turn of events, the rest of the Patriots and their owners should be ecstatic.
While Rob Gronkowski is matchup-proof no matter who is slinging him the ball, receivers like Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola will see the big benefits of having Brady under centre instead of the sophomore.
The only real hiccup that could derail Brady this season is if the court’s decision is overturned and his suspension is reapplied mid-season. Considering that reports are that could take months to come down, there’s a chance that Brady may be suspended towards the end of the season, dooming both you and the Patriots when the playoffs roll around.
